The dream of all children is definitely to sleep in a bunk bed. In fact, for every child, sleeping in a bunk bed is like having a fabulous place that can develop to the fullest, even in the moment of sleep, his fantasy. On the other hand, for the parents, the bunk bed is the best choice to better manage the space inside a single room that has to accommodate two children. In this regard, in the following steps, I will give you some useful information on how to mount a bunk bed. Let’s start now!
First of all, the first thing you need to do to properly mount the bunk bed that you have purchased will be to follow the instructions correctly. Each bunk bed can in fact vary, depending on the components of which it is composed, of shape and size. Begin to open the package and remove all the pieces from the same. Once you have obtained the components for the lower part, start to put them on the ground. Having done so, unite the components that make up the first bed, that is “the lower one” with the appropriate bolts, or the nails, going to form a rectangle that will contain the stave of the lower bed.
By fixing the bottom bed of the bunk bed, you will also have fixed the base of the top bed. In This procedure do not insert the stave of the lower bed. In fact, for convenience, you will be able to enter the lower structure to better fit the upper one. Then take the pieces that make up the top and start to insert them inside the structure. To make the most of this operation, perform a slight pressure to enlarge the wood. In this way, you can insert more easily the pieces that make up the top of the bunk bed in the guidelines.
At this point, you can insert the staves of both beds. Once you have inserted the slats in the structure, you can start to apply the ladder and the drawers in the bunk bed. Usually, the ladder to reach the upper bed rests on the base and should be simply tucked into the structure by means of the special “U” hook. Once the ladder is inserted and the drawers in the lower part, place the mattresses on the staves. Before finishing the work, try the lower and upper bed by pressing the same or lying down. This way you can check the safety and stability of the bunk bed. Good luck with your work!
